If dirhams or dinars are borrowed for the purpose of spending them, the transaction constitutes a loan (Qard), not a simple loan for use (I'arah). This is because the nature of the transaction itself is a Qard, thus establishing the contract of Qard, even if that term was not explicitly stated.
