Does the finder have the right to sell or claim ownership of the absconding slave after announcing him?

Primary text
The finder does not have the right to sell or claim ownership of the slave after announcing him. This is because the slave inherently guards himself, similar to stray camels (Dawal al-Ibil). If the finder sells the slave, the sale is void (fasid) according to the majority of scholars, including Abu Hanifa and Al-Shafi'i.
