Can the original owner reclaim a found object after the finder has disposed of it?

Primary text
If the original owner finds the lost item after the finder has transferred ownership through sale, gift, or similar transactions, the owner may not reclaim the specific item itself. Instead, the owner has the right to take compensation of equivalent value. This is because the finder's disposition was valid since the item had entered the finder's ownership.
