What is the requirement for the consideration (reward) in a contract of *Ja'alah* (a guarantee/fee contract)?

The contract of *Ja'alah* is equivalent to *Ijarah* (lease/wage contract) in requiring knowledge of the consideration. Whatever can legitimately be consideration in *Ijarah* may be consideration in *Ja'alah*, and whatever cannot, cannot.
