Is the reward due if the slave is returned outside the specified location?

If someone states, 'Whoever returns my slave shall have one dinar,' and the slave is returned from a place other than the specified town, the person earns nothing. This is analogous to a situation where a reward was stipulated for returning one of two slaves, but only the other one was returned.
