Is there a prohibition on collecting lost property belonging to pilgrims (Hujjaj)?

It is narrated via Yaqub ibn Shaybah in his Musnad, from Abdurrahman ibn Uthman Al-Taymi, that the Prophet, peace be upon him, prohibited the lost property of the pilgrim. Ibn Wahb clarified that this means leaving it until the owner finds it, as reported by Abu Dawud. This supports the restriction on taking possession within the Haram.
