When does the worker become entitled to the reward (Ja'al)?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Lost-and-Found Property
Primary text
The worker is entitled to the reward only after performing the act for which the reward was offered, provided that the offer had reached him. This is because the reward is compensation earned through work; thus, one who has not performed the work cannot claim it, analogous to wages in a contract of lease.
