If a mother, a brother, and a grandfather are gathered, the maintenance obligation is divided among them in three equal shares.
Supporting text
Al-Shafi'i holds that the maintenance obligation rests solely upon the grandfather in all these matters, except for the first case (maternal and paternal grandmother), where the obligation is shared equally between them.
