If the animal becomes disabled and cannot be utilized, and it is an animal that is eaten, the owner has the choice between slaughtering it or continuing to provide maintenance for it. If it is an animal that is not eaten, the owner is compelled to maintain it, similar to an impaired slave, as previously established.
