What is the ruling regarding the maintenance (nafaqah) for a married female slave?

The maintenance for a married female slave is a right belonging to both the slave herself and her master. This is because both parties derive benefit from her. Either party has the right to demand the maintenance if the husband fails to provide it. Neither party possesses the right to waive this maintenance, as its lapse due to the waiver of one party causes harm to the other.
