If the husband later affirms the wife's statement (that the divorce occurred post-delivery), his right of reconciliation is nullified, and maintenance becomes obligatory upon him.
Supporting text
This ruling applies in the apparent judicial ruling (Dahir Al-Hukm). However, between the individual and Allah, the determination depends upon what each knows of the true state of affairs, irrespective of what was declared.
