If the wife ceases her disobedience while the husband is absent, her maintenance does not resume until the physical submission (Taslim) is achieved either by the husband's return, the presence of his authorized agent, or a ruling by a judge mandating the obligation, provided a sufficient period for potential cohabitation has passed.

If the wife merely offers to submit herself during the husband's absence, she does not become entitled to maintenance solely based on that offer, paralleling the ruling concerning the resumption of maintenance after the end of Nushuz while the husband is absent.
