Primary text

Sufficient wealth is defined as possessing an amount exceeding one's basic needs for a day and night, including essential primary needs such as clothing, dwelling, and whatever is indispensable. This excess must be given to the partner. Abu Bakr mentioned this in his book Al-Tanbih. If some assets are found that meet only part of the required value, the individual is assessed based on the portion they possess.

Supporting text

If some assets cover part of the value, the assessment is based on what the person owns of it, as mentioned by Ahmad in the narration of Ibn Mansur, which is also the position of Malik.
