Primary text
If the agent manumits the partner's share, the partner is not required to compensate because the agent directly caused the cause of destruction, and thus is not required to guarantee what was destroyed by it, similar to a situation where a non-related person tells the owner, 'Manumit your slave,' and the owner does so.
