What is the ruling regarding the phrase 'Anta Lillah' (You are for Allah) concerning emancipation?

Primary text
Emancipation is established by the phrase 'Anta Lillah' if the owner intends it. This view is held by Al-Sha'bi, Al-Musayyib ibn Rafi', Hammad, and Al-Shafi'i. The basis for this is that the phrase can mean 'You are free for Allah' or 'You are dedicated only to Allah, not to me or anyone else,' allowing the intention of freedom to take effect, as is the case with other ambiguous statements.
Supporting text
Abu Hanifa holds that 'Anta Lillah' does not effect emancipation because its literal implication is 'You are a servant or creature of Allah,' which does not necessitate freedom. This objection is refuted because the phrase also bears the meaning of dedicating the person solely to God, which is compatible with freedom, just as other ambiguous statements carry dual meanings.
