Primary text
A narration transmitted by Abu Talib from Ahmad indicates that if a group asks a man to marry someone to another, and the man says, "I have married her for a thousand," and they return to the prospective husband who then says, "I accept," this constitutes a valid marriage. Al-Qadi interpreted this as the offeror having appointed an agent to accept the contract within the session itself.

Abu Bakr stated that Abu Talib's ruling is subject to two opinions, preferring that acceptance within the session is necessary, which is considered the correct position.
