Can a bequest concerning a woman's marriage be valid if she has male paternal relatives ('Asabah)?

Abu 'Abdullah ibn Hamid stated that if a woman has a male paternal relative, a bequest concerning her marriage is invalid because the bequest invalidates their right. If she has no male paternal relatives, the bequest is valid due to the absence of that right.
