Is it permissible for a master to marry his female slave?

It is unlawful for a master to marry his female slave because ownership of the person implies ownership of the benefit and the permissibility of sexual intercourse (buḍ'a), and a contract weaker than ownership, such as marriage, cannot coexist with it. If a man possesses his wife as a slave, their marriage is dissolved.
