Is it recommended for a mother to be consulted regarding the marriage of her daughter?

It is recommended to seek the permission of the mother when marrying off her daughter. This is based on the Prophet's saying, 'Consult women concerning their daughters.' Furthermore, the mother shares in the consideration for the daughter's interest due to her compassion, and seeking her counsel comforts her heart and pleases her, making her the most entitled to be consulted.
