Is marriage or taking a concubine permissible for a Mukatab (a slave purchasing his freedom) without his master's permission?

The Mukatab is treated like a fully enslaved person regarding marriage and taking a concubine; permission from his master is required for both actions. This ruling is based on the consideration that engaging in such acts involves squandering property within his possession. The evidence cited is the Prophet's saying: "The Mukatab remains a slave as long as a dirham remains due from him."
