Does a master's emancipation of his slave wife grant the wife an option to annul the marriage?

The emancipation of the husband of a female slave does not grant the wife an option (khiyar) to annul the marriage. This is because the lack of perfection (i.e., servitude) in the wife does not affect the validity of the marriage contract. Similarly, competency (kafa'ah) is only required of the man, not the woman.
