When does the option to dissolve a pre-Islamic marriage become available to a minor who converts to Islam?

The option (khiyar) to choose whether to ratify or annul the marriage becomes available to the son only upon reaching puberty (balugh). Prior to this, neither the son nor his father can exercise this choice.
