Does the prohibition of combining a man with his wife's sister in marriage or relations apply to a female slave?

It is held that this prohibition does not apply. Permissibility remains established by the verse: {or those whom your right hands possess} (Quran 4:3). The prohibition against combining two sisters is established only by the verse: {and that you take in marriage two sisters simultaneously} (Quran 4:23). This latter verse refers specifically to combining them in a marriage contract or in sexual intercourse, neither of which has occurred, nor has anything equivalent to them.
