What is the recommended supplication for a newly married man?

It is recommended to say to the married person: 'May Allah bless you, and may He bless upon you, and may He join you both in goodness and well-being.' This is based on the report that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, upon seeing a yellow tinge (sign of saffron/perfume) on Abd al-Rahman, asked about it. When informed that Abd al-Rahman married a woman for the weight of a date-seed (*nawah*) of gold, the Prophet responded: 'May Allah bless you. Have a wedding feast, even if it be with a sheep.' This Hadith is agreed upon (Muttafaqun Alayh).
