Primary text

The ruling concerning a eunuch is that if the wife does not attain the ability (to have intercourse) within the stipulated period, the marriage is dissolved. If she does attain it, she has no option for dissolution because intercourse is possible and enjoyment is achieved through the act. Some scholars maintain that the eunuch has a greater capacity than others because he does not experience the cessation of desire associated with ejaculation. This ruling applies equally to one whose testicles have been cut, one whose testicles have been crushed (mawjūr), and one whose testicles have been pulled out (maslūl), as the inability to ejaculate and procreate is common to all.

There is a difference of opinion among scholars regarding the distinction between the eunuch and one whose testicles are crushed or removed, based on the lack of ejaculation.
