Chapter on What is Prohibited to Marry and Combining Between Them and Other Matters

Primary text
If a man contracts marriage in two separate contracts, the marriage contract for the first woman is valid because no prohibition exists at the time of that contract. The contract for the second woman is invalid because the prohibition arises from the simultaneous holding of both marriages. The second contract cannot be validated until the first marriage is dissolved, meaning separation and the end of her waiting period.
