Chapter on What is Prohibited to Marry and Combining Between Them and Other Matters

Primary text
If a man marries a woman and subsequently purchases her sister, the purchase is valid, but the sister remains unlawful for him to marry. This is because marriage is analogous to sexual intercourse (Wati'); thus, it resembles the case where he had sexual intercourse with his enslaved woman and then purchased her sister.
