What is the ruling if a man owns a female slave, has intercourse with her, and then purchases her sister?

If a man has intercourse with a female slave and subsequently purchases her sister, the purchased sister is prohibited to him due to the existence of her sister as his conjugal property, even though the purchased sister herself never attained the status of conjugal property.
