What is the ruling regarding the Iddah period if a woman under revocable divorce is freed and subsequently chooses annulment?

Primary text
If she chooses annulment during her Iddah, the time already served counts, and she is not required to start a new Iddah because she is already observing the Iddah related to the divorce, and annulment does not invalidate or interrupt that period. This situation is treated similarly to if the husband had issued a second divorce, and the ruling follows the Iddah requirements for a free woman since she was freed during the revocable Iddah.

If it is argued that the annulment should not take effect until the end of the Iddah, the response is that this would necessitate her starting a new Iddah, which is avoided if the annulment takes effect immediately.
