If a residual part of the male organ remains through which intercourse is possible, it is preferable to impose a time limit upon him. This condition is then treated analogously to a congenitally impotent man ('aneen khilqatan).

If there is a dispute regarding the remaining quantity and whether intercourse is possible with it or not, reference must be made to experienced experts to ascertain that matter.
