Does the self-marriage require explicit mention of both offer (Ijab) and acceptance (Qabul), or is the offer sufficient?

One view requires explicit statement of both offer and acceptance, saying, 'I married myself to so-and-so,' and 'I accept this marriage,' because any act requiring an offer also requires acceptance, like other contracts. The second view, held by Malik and Abu Hanifah, asserts that merely saying, 'I married myself to so-and-so,' or 'I married so-and-so' is sufficient. This is supported by the Hadith of Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, and because his offer implies acceptance, similar to when a request precedes the transaction. Thus, if one says to his slave, 'I have emancipated you and made your emancipation your dowry,' the marriage contract is established by that statement alone.
