Primary text
For one who does not know Arabic, the marriage contract is valid when conducted in their native tongue. This is because they are incapable of using anything else, and the requirement is thus waived, similar to a mute person. However, the person must articulate the meaning corresponding to the specific Arabic terms, ensuring it encompasses the intended meaning of the Arabic phrase.
