What compensation is due if the Mukatab injures his master in a homicide case?

If the Mukatab's injury is against his master's person, the master's heirs are entitled to Qisas in cases of intentional injury or may opt for monetary compensation in lieu of Qisas. In cases of accidental injury, monetary compensation is due. There are two narrations concerning the means by which the Mukatab may redeem himself in this scenario.
