Is a freed slave permitted to bequeath their property?

A freed slave is forbidden from making a bequest (*yusyiy*) regarding their property. This prohibition is based on the principle that it constitutes an uncompensated donation of their property, supported by Shafi'i and the Ashab al-Ra'y.
