What happens to the indenture contract if the master is enslaved or killed after the Mukatab enters Muslim territory under Aman with the master's permission?
General Chapter

Book of Mukātaba (Contractual Manumission)
Primary text
If they enter under Aman with the master's permission, and subsequently Muslim forces capture the master and kill him, the indenture transfers to his heirs, just as if he died naturally. If the Imam grants him amnesty, ransoms him, or he escapes, the indenture remains valid. If the Imam enslaves the master, the Mukatab's status is held in abeyance (mawquf). If the master is freed, the indenture remains valid. If the master dies or is killed while enslaved, the Mukatab belongs to the Muslims, retaining what remains of his indenture period, and he is freed upon paying the remainder to the Muslims, with his loyalty belonging to them. If he defaults, he remains a slave to the Muslims.
