If the master absolves the Mukatab from the debt of *kitabah* (manumission contract), the Mukatab is freed and manumitted. This is because his liability concerning the *kitabah* money is extinguished, making it analogous to having paid the amount. This ruling is established because absolution is treated the same as fulfillment.
