What is the legal recourse if the Mukatab pays the debt to the buyer in the case where the Mukatab is not freed by payment?

Book of Mukātaba (Contractual Manumission)
Primary text
If it is ruled that the Mukatab is not freed by payment, the debt of manumission remains upon him. The Mukatab then has recourse against the buyer for what he paid, and the buyer has recourse against the original seller. If the buyer subsequently delivers the payment to the original seller, this delivery is invalid because the buyer received it without the Mukatab's authorization, similar to taking something from the Mukatab's property without permission. If the payment was of a different kind than the debt of manumission, they reconcile the mutual obligations between them.
