If the man impregnates the daughter of the female slave designated for manumission, she attains the status of an 'Umm Walad' (mother of his child) to him. The resulting child is free because the impregnation occurred while the woman was in his ownership and designated for manumission. The child's lineage is established to the father.

The man is not obligated to pay the valuation price (Qeemah) of the woman because her mother did not own her. Similarly, he is not obligated to pay the valuation price of the child because she gave birth to the child while in his ownership.
