Is a master's forgiveness of the stipulated amount effective in rendering the slave free under an invalid Mukatabah?

If the master absolves the Mukatab of the debt, the absolution is not valid, and manumission does not occur thereby. This differs from a valid Mukatabah. This case is analogous to a pure conditional statement, such as saying, 'If you pay me a thousand, you are free.'
