Does payment from the same category of wealth but a different item suffice for the obligation?

Primary text
Payment made from the same category of wealth (*jins*) as the contracted wealth, even if it is not the exact item specified, is sufficient. There is no substantive difference in meaning between giving from the stipulated item and giving from another item of the same category, so they must be equal in validity for discharge. This is analogous to how debt cancellation (*hatt*), which is not technically 'giving' (*ita'*), is accepted because it shares the same purpose.
