It is plausible that the child is freed upon the master freeing the mother because it acts as a pardon for the *kitabah* debt. The ruling is the same if she is freed through *istilad*, *tadbir*, or conditional stipulation, as her freedom occurred without fulfilling the *kitabah* terms.
