Primary text

If the mukatab traveled with his master's permission, the master cannot dissolve the contract because permission was granted for the travel which prevents immediate performance. Instead, the matter must be referred to the judge (Hakim). The judge establishes the due date of the payment liability and informs the absent mukatab. If the mukatab is incapable of paying, the judge informs the presiding judge where the contract was established, allowing the master the option to dissolve the contract.
