Book of Mutual Imprecation (Li'an)
Primary text
If the time between the two births is more than six months, the child is not attributed to the husband, and paternity is negated from him without mutual imprecation (li'an). This is because it is impossible for both children to be from one pregnancy given the duration, proving the second conception occurred after the termination of the marriage and the completion of the waiting period (Iddah), making her like any non-related woman.
