Book of Mutual Imprecation (Li'an)
Primary text
If the husband performs Lian, thereby negating the child's lineage, and subsequently chooses to present the evidence, he is permitted to do so. Upon presenting the evidence, both the consequences of the Lian (negation of lineage) and the consequences of the evidence (establishment of adultery and its penalty) become established.
