Can a man perform *li'an* against his divorced wife to negate paternity before she delivers the child?

Primary text
There are two views on whether he may perform *li'an* before the child is born. One opinion states that he may do so because any situation where *li'an* is permissible after delivery also permits it before delivery, similar to the case of a current wife. The second view, which is the apparent stance of Al-Khiraqi, is that he cannot perform *li'an* before delivery. This is because the child is not negated during pregnancy, and since *li'an* is established here specifically for the sake of the child, it cannot be done until the child's existence is confirmed by birth, unlike the case of a current wife where *li'an* is permissible even without a child.
