Does a master face legal penalty for accusing his female slave of adultery?

If a man accuses his female slave (*amah*) of adultery, there is no *Li'an*, and he does not receive the *Hadd* punishment for the accusation. He receives discretionary chastisement (*Ta'zir*) instead. This applies whether she was a slave under his domestic bond (*firash*) or not.
