The *Li'an* is not valid if performed contrary to the established sequence derived from the Quran and Sunnah, similar to limiting the pronouncement to a single word. Furthermore, the husband's *Li'an* serves to prove her adultery and negate the child, while the wife's *Li'an* serves as denial; thus, the evidence-proving statement must precede the denial, analogous to presenting witnesses before oaths. Also, the wife's curse is contingent upon averting punishment from herself, which only occurs following the husband's *Li'an*; preceding it means presenting her curse before its proper time, rendering it invalid.
