What is the ruling on a man who accuses his wife and another woman (or man) of adultery using two separate statements?

When a man accuses his wife and a non-mahram woman (or man) using two distinct phrases, two separate punishments (*hadd*) are incumbent upon him for both parties. Exoneration from the punishment due to the non-mahram individual requires evidence (*bayyinah*) only. Exoneration from the punishment due to the wife requires either evidence (*bayyinah*) or mutual imprecation (*li'an*).
