What is the ruling if a man negates paternity via *Li'an* for a child, and the wife subsequently gives birth to another child after an interval of six months or more?

This second child is considered a separate pregnancy. If the man negates this second child via *Li'an*, paternity is negated. It cannot be negated without *Li'an* because it is a distinct pregnancy. If he claims paternity or refrains from denying paternity, it is attributed to him, even if the first *Li'an* legally separated them, because he could have consummated the marriage again after the first child was delivered.
