When does the period of *Ilaa'* (oath of abstinence) commence?

The commencement of the period starts from the moment the oath is sworn. It does not require the explicit setting of a duration because it is established by explicit text (*nass*) and consensus (*ijma*), similar to the mandated period for *'unnah* (a type of separation related to physical defects).
